    As you know I give my star ratings based on how my experience was. Today I throughly enjoyed my first visit to Ethel & Fred's. The staff was super friendly, the restraint was clean, and the food was served without delay and it was delicious. Definitely on my list of new breakfast stops.

    Great home cooked meals. Pretty fast fresh food, unless it's the weekend which they are always busy out the door so you may have to wait a little extra. Come by on Mondays for the meatloaf. They have homemade pies.

    We were shopping in this plaza and were ready for lunch, so thought we'd give this place a try. It's not much to look at, bare bones decor.
    The service was friendly and quick, even though the place was packed those two gals flew around the place.
    We tried the country omelette and the chili cheese omelette. CHILI CHEESE OMELETTE you say?!?! I was hooked. When the food came Oh. Em. Gee. Absolutely delicious.  The C.C. omelette was.... unbelievably good. Like, how have  I lived without this good. We devoured the food. The grits were one and the biscuits and gravy and coffee good too. Only criticism is the gravy was a tad on the salty side.
    But overall, five stars. Priced right and yummy. We will most likely be back!

    No pretense- E&F is homey with good food at a reasonable price and a friendly serving staff.   Spanish omelette was tasty n the biscuits just right with Good coffee.  Decor is modest along with unmuted noise levels.  Bathrooms need an upgrade to allow multiple usage.  

    I do recommend.

    We LOVE Ethel & Fred's!! We happened to try this restaurant out about 4 years ago after we moved back to the area and have been going there at least once a week since. All of their food is homemade with that southern, down home goodness, especially her specials and her soups. The atmosphere, service, and food is exactly what you would expect from a country diner. Delicious and big portions!!
    If you happen to be lucky enough to hit it on a day where the special is chicken pot pie, give it a try. You won't be disappointed!!
